Bringing a multidisciplinary approach, Joshua Sleep’s work often explores phenomenological ideas through the use of surrealist and absurd imagery. His pieces challenge the viewer’s assumptions and invite them to question their understanding of truth and what they understand about their own world. As he continues to evolve as an artist, he remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his understanding and knowledge, constantly reassessing his role as both the creator and as an observer.

Joshua Sleep is currently based in Tartanya (Adelaide) and Naarm (Melbourne), and at present pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) (Honours) at RMIT University. He is continually refining his practice with plans to continue his academic and formal art training into the future.

Sleep’s current achievements include a Letter of Commendation for outstanding academic achievement and receiving the Lang Family Foundation/McKee Award.
